Giving a Gift as a Memorial to a Loved One
The loss of a loved one is such a dreadful time but many families find comfort in knowing a gift, or the retiring collection at a funeral, is put to good use by Cotswold RDA. Transforming the life of a young person or adult whose life is limited by a disability is a wonderful legacy for anyone to leave. The contact with one of our ponies and the joy of riding made possible by your kindness, enriches their life. It brings calm to over-active minds and core strength to bodies that are sometimes under-used.
We can discuss your wishes and explain how they can be remembered. You may want a plaque in the stables to record your gift, and we are happy to talk to you to ensure that the memory reflects your wishes and the life you have lost.
Funeral Collection
Many people like to request donations at their funeral, often choosing one of their loved one’s favourite charities. Arranging a funeral collection is a lovely way to mark their life, whilst also making a lasting difference.

Leaving a gift in your Will
When you make your Will, your family and friends, those you love, will be foremost in your mind. But many of our kind supporters also take great joy in knowing that, after they die, the gift they have left in their Will to Cotswold RDA, will continue to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to get close to, ride and learn to love, one of our ponies. This gift gives them considerable satisfaction.
With a gift in your Will, you too can change the life of a young person or adult whose disability limits what they can do. You can open the world of ponies to them, perhaps in a way that you have known in your own life. Your kindness and thoughtfulness could bring joy to one or many of the 200 people with a disability we offer riding to.
You only need to mention Cotswold Riding for the Disabled, Cheltenham Racecourse, GL50 4SH and our Charity Number 1160676. Your solicitor will be able to tell you how a charitable bequest can reduce the amount of Inheritance Tax to be paid.
You do not need to tell us of your decision, we respect your privacy, but if you wish to do so we would like to invite you to Cotswold RDA to visit and see our work first hand.
