ASDAN Qualifications – Learning through horses…learning for life!
RDA activities offer a great platform for learning, both for participants and volunteers, in an environment that is supportive, engaging, rewarding…and fun!
Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network, ASDAN, is a nationwide charity education and awarding organisation providing regulated, accredited qualifications which run alongside the national curriculum.
RDA UK is a registered ASDAN user and some of the ASDAN courses have been specially adapted for us to allow all our participants the opportunity to be rewarded for their activities and achievements, whatever their level of ability.
At completion, the students’ individual portfolios are sent away for external moderation and ASDAN certification and award of credits.
The Cotswold RDA Team are now offering a range of ASDAN courses:-
- TRANSITION CHALLENGE – Ideal for school groups
- TOWARDS INDEPENDENCE – Animal Care with Horse Riding and Stable Management – Suitable for school groups or for individual students working as part of a small study group
- VOLUNTEERING – Suitable for individual students or as part of a small study group

Cotswold RDA have been working with ASDAN since 2016 and have developed materials that we have found useful when approaching the courses.
