Could you become a volunteer?
We rely entirely on volunteer help, even a couple of hours a week is greatly appreciated. The helper to rider ratio is often very high, sometimes two or three helpers to one rider.
We also need help fundraising, helping on our stall at various events, admin help and tack cleaning.
Our group has over 100 volunteers supporting our 200+ riders.

Volunteer information
To volunteer in the school:
Volunteers must be over 14 years of age. Due to health & safety plus insurance under 16 year olds are not able to lead a pony with rider or assist with mounting. They can however lead a pony without a rider, help with side walking, pick up poo and tack cleaning.
Over 16's can also lead ponies with riders on.
Full training will be given to start with and regular training sessions are held throughout the year.
All helpers willl be CRB checked at a cost of £8 but this money will be returned to the volunteer after a year of service.
We also need volunteers to help with fundraising activities such as collecting, helping on our stall at events and so on.
We provide hot/cold drinks and have a microwave and toaster available.
Suggested attire:
Layers of clothing as the school can be cold
Sturdy boots
No perfume
No dangly jewellery or scarfs/ties
